I'm one of the gardeners at the Dorothy Quincy Homestead in Quincy, Massachusetts. My mother, Rebecca, and I have been the head gardeners at Dorothy's since 2000. In April 2000, the house didn't have a gardener and lovely plants were popping up but strangled by dead leaves. We walked fearfully through the open gate, started picking up the dead leaves, and got immediately caught - by the gardening bug. The Department of Conservation and Recreation in Massachusetts care for the property have been most generous in allowing us to play in the garden!
